BIO
Kris is a native Californian raised in New Jersey. Â After Attending University of Maryland, He moved out to Los Angeles to pursue his life long passion of cooking. Â Kris worked his way through some of Los Angeles best restaurants including AOC, Patina, Grace and Meson G. Â At his first chef position Morningstar earned a Raving 2.5 star review from the L.A. times, a James Beard Nomination and a Rising Star Chef Award from Gayot. Â Most Recently Kris was the chef for District on Sunset and the Mercantile where he once again received a glowing L.A. Times review where the food was called “Bold and Delicious.”
Morningstar will be cooking the food he enjoys the most; seasonal, local, technique and flavor driven foods that are labors of love.
