BIO

Kris is a native Californian raised in New Jersey.  After Attending University of Maryland, He moved out to Los Angeles to pursue his life long passion of cooking.  Kris worked his way through some of Los Angeles best restaurants including AOC, Patina, Grace and Meson G.  At his first chef position Morningstar earned a Raving 2.5 star review from the L.A. times, a James Beard Nomination and a Rising Star Chef Award from Gayot.  Most Recently Kris was the chef for District on Sunset and the Mercantile where he once again received a glowing L.A. Times review where the food was called “Bold and Delicious.”

Morningstar will be cooking the food he enjoys the most; seasonal, local, technique and flavor driven foods that are labors of love.
