Air frying is definitely the new craze right now and I am personally very obsessed with it. When you have kids, it can be quite tricky to cook, especially when frantic times of the day arrive. As such, I make use of machines that make my life easier as much as possible.
Without a doubt, being a mom is hard, so getting all of the help that I can get is probably the smartest thing that I do on a regular basis. Thankfully, I have an air fryer now.
My Ultimate Air fryer Experience
What I Love About My Air fryer
I have been using my air fryer for a few weeks now and would describe it as a small oven on steroids. It is incredibly fast and very effective and can crisp up food like nothing else.
The best part is that I can make foods that my kids love, but in a healthier manner and with minimal fat. I no longer worry about trans-fat, either.
While I know that fat is important for a child’s development and brain, the mere thought of deep frying food still sends shivers down my spine. I do not like the idea of filling up a pot with a ton of coconut oil just to make some healthy chips for my children, either, because it simply isn’t affordable.
Thanks to my air fryer, I can just use a tablespoon of oil and get the same results as regular fried food – just without the guilt.
My First Experiences with My Air fryer
On the first day that I used my air fryer, I cooked some beetroot chips, roast pumpkin, grain-free Thai Fish cakes and vegetable ratatouille. Everything tasted great and I was particularly impressed by how quickly the air fryer worked.
It only took 15 minutes to make the pumpkin, 10 minutes to make the fish cakes and 20 minutes to make the crispy roast chicken. In a regular oven, it usually takes 15 minutes to preheat the food and a whole hour to roast the crispy chicken.
The beetroot chips were delicious, too. All that we did was slice up some raw beetroot and mix it with some salt and coconut oil before throwing them in the air fryer for 15 minutes. The beetroot chips ended up crispy enough for the kids to turn them into one of their favorite snacks.
I have had a lot of fun with our air fryer so far and I would highly recommend it to any family out there that is looking for a fun and versatile machine to cook with.
